Business Spotlight: Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping

The halls of the Shoreview Mall may be quiet, but behind the doors of Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping, the gym is action-packed. Farrell’s fires up members with 45-minute group fitness classes, as well as offering nutrition plans and personal training.

Cindi Nikituk opened the Shoreview Farrell’s in 2013, bringing expertise as a registered nurse and nutrition coach to the community that her husband, Dustin, grew up in. With over 350 members, the Shoreview Farrell’s has become a vibrant community of its own.

“We like to create a community of sense of worth, belonging, a place they can call home,” said Tina McNamara, general manager of Shoreview Farrell’s.

The Farrell's team wants everyone to walk out of their doors feeling great. They strive to create an environment that pushes people to be their best selves.

With her own fitness transformation beginning in 2022, McNamara knows how prioritizing her health changed her life. At a time when she felt like she had lost herself, she thought that was how life would be – until she felt and saw progress. Now, she encourages others to do the same.

Throughout the 10-week program, members attend 45-minute classes 6 days a week. For people like McNamara, the improvements were life-changing. She recalls daily activities like getting off the floor and going up and down stairs becoming easier.

“I know it’s hard to get up and want to work out every day,” McNamara said, “But living this way is so much easier than the alternative.”

The mission of Farrell's is to empower members by improving their overall health, quality of life, and longevity. A variety of people come through the doors every day: young and old, men and women, beginners and long-time members. The energy, excitement, and encouragement in the gym is what sets Farrell’s apart. Members come for the workout, but stay for the community.

“Over the course of time, you just see this little light turn on in somebody, and it’s magical,” McNamara said.

Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping is located in the Shoreview Mall at 1037 Highway 96. To learn more, visit their website or follow them on social media @fxbshoreview.
