Tax Structure

Shoreview’s taxes are low for the high level of services provided to residents and businesses. In addition, expanding businesses may qualify for tax incentives - something our staff would be happy to discuss in detail during a consultation or informative meeting. 

Shoreview has a combined sales tax rate of 7.375%. This number is a combination of the state tax rate of 6.875% and a special tax rate of 0.5%. Ramsey County does not have a sales tax rate. As for property taxes, the average effective property tax rate in Ramsey County, where Shoreview is located, is 1.33%.
