The city currently has 15 developed parks, with over 1400 acres of park and open space, which is 18 percent of the City land area. There are 11 city parks and 4 county parks. In addition, the department also maintains 55 miles of trails and sidewalks that connect most neighborhoods to parks, schools and commercial areas.
